Impressione WoB Participant Information
First, a big “THANK YOU” to all of you for participating in this important event and helping make it a success!
An important part of making this event a success, is making sure everyone knows about it. Please take a few moments to notify your update groups and blogs of your participation in this event; musicians please also post your performance date/time/location to the SL Events listing. An important feature of this event is we are bringing together art, fashion, and music communities together into one place. This is a wonderful opportunity to reach out to new customers! Please help one another by making a point to mention that in addition to enjoying your creations, guests are invited to explore, take a moment to enjoy all that there is on offer, and visit one of the on-site kiosks for information about the event and NEDA.
Next, all confirmed participants (designers, models, press, DJs, live performers, artists) will be invited to the Impressione group. If you have not received your Impressione group invite please contact JennyH GossipGirl. This is required for advance access to the venue as well as to restricted areas. You must wear your group tag to rez your objects and for additional site permissions as necessary.
World Beauty show designers: You will be invited to the Impressione group. If you have not received your Impressione group invite please contact JennyH GossipGirl. With group membership you will be granted access to the sims where you will find the vendor displays categorized by model name and you will have VIP access to all event venues throughout the weekend. Please check your notecard to see which models are wearing your pieces, and place your vendor with the correct item in the areas marked on the display. Please, no scripts, hovertext, etc. Each piece of your outfit is allowed one (1) prim on the display and must be in the dimensions of 0.75m x 0.75m x 0.10m. Items which include demos (ie, typically skins, shoes, hair, shape) are allowed an additional one (1) prim for the demo, which must be placed immediately next to or on top of the item for purchase. The maximum dimensions for this prim are 0.25m x 0.5m x 0.10m.
Please note you will place two (2) vendors for each item in the show; the vendors are fully duplicated in both the West (TriBeCa) and East (NoLIta) sims; half of the TriBeCa vendors are in the North Wing and half are located in the South Wing. All NoLIta vendors are located in the Southern Hot House at the end of the Gallery Corridor, directly opposite of the Gazebo.
You are invited to also place one or more items in the Mushroom Hunt!
Mushroom Hunt participants: We welcome all creators to offer one or more quality freebie (L$0 please, not L$1) items in the multi-sim Mushroom Hunt. All non-pornographic or “adult” items are welcome (ie. please no sexual objects). Items should be a quality nature, not freebie lot hand-me-downs. Acceptable items may include but are not limited to: clothing, skin, hair, shoes, artwork, buildings, vehicles, landscaping items, household goods, professional services (ie. free photoshoot).
Please send a note to JennyH GossipGirl for an invitation to the Impressione group. With group membership you will gain sim access and you will receive a full-permissions sculpted mushroom prim in which to place your items (gift, notecard, store landmark, etc.). These mushrooms will also be available at the NoLIta sim landing point (126, 144, 40) and free to copy for use as hunt objects. Please do not change the color or size of the mushroom, as it is important for guests to know what to search for! You may hide as many as you wish (each with unique items please!) on the two sims.
Be advised, that the NoLIta (East) sim will be open to the public at all times whereas the TriBeCa (West) sim, which offerers many amazing hiding places, is open primarily to VIPs and may be available to the general public only during limited times, so please plan accordingly. Our goal is to fill the sims with fields of mushrooms!
DJs and Live Musicians: You will be invited to the Impressione group. If you have not received your Impressione group invite please contact JennyH GossipGirl. DJ acts will take place in the Gazebo at the south-east corner of the NoLIta sim (East). DJs are expected to be PG13+ with no vulgar open chat. You will be able to rez your tip jar (1 prim only, and no more than a maximum of 1.0m in any dimension) but please no spinning, no hovertext, as we must aim to ensure a quality experience and keep the sim performance optimal. Singles and couples dance machines are provided in the Gazebo for our guests’ convenience.
Please plan to arrive for your set at least 15 minutes early to acquaint yourself with the venue and coordinate with the current DJ to transfer the stream.
Your set will be carried on both sims, so please invite your guests to explore the vendors, hunt, art show, and many scenic venues while they enjoy your music.
Artists: All artists are invited to participate in the Art Show. We welcome all forms of art, especially those reflecting the themes of the Weekend of Beauty -- a celebration of health and beauty, in all its shapes and sizes, from around the world, as reflected though the music, art, and fashion communities -- while raising awareness to eating disorders. We do not require new pieces of work. While erotic and noir are compelling themes, they are not appropriate for this event.
Please send a note to JennyH GossipGirl for an invitation to the Impressione group. With group membership you will gain sim access and may rez one (1) prim for your piece (more than one work is welcome but please discuss your plans with JennyH GossipGirl in advance) and an additional one (1) prim to provide information about you and your work (notecard, texture, LM etc.). Items will be placed in the Northern Hot House located at the north-east end of the Conservatory building.
The maximum prim size for works is 3.0m x 3.0m x 0.10m and the maximum size for your info-giver prim is 0.75m x 0.75m x 0.10m. Please, no hovertext or scripts. Sculptures are also possible, depending upon size, prims, and scripts; please discuss your requirements in advance with JennyH GossipGirl.
